Since the beginning of video games violence has always played a part. Pac man....the ghosts...aka the undead would chase you around and corner you and eat you. Thats the point. Its an OPTION for those who want it. Thats the exact reason why they didn't include it in the 360 to begin with. Everyone would have been forced to pay for it in the higher price of the 360. Not everyone wants to watch hd dvd's yet. So smart move MS to make it an option for those that do. And more importantly...an affordable option at that.
I agree with you as well. Sony basically invented the backwards compatablity thingy. But me personally I have never went back and played a last gen game on a next gen system. lol....Maybe its just me. But when I take that jump to next gen....the last gen just don't do it for me anymore.

I think that with the ps3 costing 200 dollars more than the 360...it has a lot more to prove. If it equals or is less than games for the 360....it will have a hard time justifying the price differnce to Average Gamers. I have been playing this game all afternoon. Great Game. Fast, Furious, Great graphics, and lots of fun. I can't wait till Tuesday.

If this article is true...that is bad news. But Truth this is what I was concerned with when it comes to the blu ray/ cell/ developement difficulty and high dev costs in comparisson to the Wii and 360. I know there will be devs that suck it up...learn the advantages and utilize it. But in the meanwhile they loose support from other devs and consumers on the fence. Ps3 will do good regardless. But MS and Wii are capitalizing on Sony's ambitious console efforts.

I agree. Even with the bad talking and so called bad news...the ps3 will still sell and devs will still utilize the hardware and make great games. But when we play it hands on thats when we can be more critical. I have doubts about many of Sony's choices but thats it. And I tend to only get defensive over the 360 because I have it and like it. These companies aren't in a battle. They are selling consoles and trying to best their last outings. Ms is trying to best the 24 million consoles sold last time...and they are on track to shatter that mark with 5 million sold the fastest in history...and Sony is trying to best the 100 million consoles sold the last two gens. My guess is the 360 premium will drop in price to 300 dollars. My guess is before the launch of the ps3 there will be larger hard drives available and the 20 gig hard drive will drop in price. My guess is the premium with the hd dvd player will cost less than the ps3 20gig version. Sure they haven't announced anything yet. And they shouldn't give sony the heads up.
